The Russian businessman, chairman of the board, director general, member of the board of directors of the LSR Group, holder of the controlling interest in the LSR Group, one of the largest developers in Russia.
He is number 104 on the Russian Forbes 2021 list.
Mr. Molchanov sponsored the pre-election campaign of the United Russian Party. His stepfather, Yuri, worked with Vladimir Putin on establishment of the Department of International Relations at the Saint Petersburg State University. From 2008 to 2013, Mr. Molchanov was a representative of the Leningrad oblast in the Federation Council.
The LSR Group has been participating in military exhibitions of the Russian army, cooperating with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for many years, building accommodation for Russian servicemen and reporting on that to Vladimir Putin. Besides, it offers a military mortgage to Russian military men.
