The director of FosAgro, a Russian producer of phosphate-based fertilizers, from 2013 to 2022. In 1991 a realtor company Lars LLC was founded, with 30% belonging to Mr. Guryev. The firm dealt with reconstruction and construction of buildings in the center of Moscow. Along with his family, he is the owner of FosAgro, a Russian producer of phosphate-based fertilizers (48.48%) and holding AgroGard (agriculture). From 2001 to 2013, he was a member of the Council of Federation representing the Murmansk oblast. Vladimir Litvinenko, a scientific advisor to the Russian president Vladimir Putin and rector of the Saint Petersburg State Mining University, is another shareholder of FosAgro.
He is number 12 on the Russian Forbes 2021 list.
